Math Tricks

Impress your friends and amaze your teachers! You’ll be surprised at how quickly and easily that you will be able to compute such large figures in your head! Math Tricks is an interactive and fun way to, not only learn, but also to boost your skills. This mental workout takes you through every problem and gives you step-by-step tricks to improve your speed and accuracy. It offers an easy to understand chalkboard visual, which keeps track of your "score" as you progress.

Math Tricks is perfect for long drives, flights, and waiting in lines. It's excellent for all ages (only knowledge of multiplication is necessary) and all skill levels as it allows you to select a specific category or from all ten lessons. This math "flashcard" approach is easy to understand and is clear and concise for all ages and math abilities. Challenge yourself by incorporating multiple lessons or work to improve a specific lesson. A pleasant sound indicates a correct answer while a vibration (iPhone only) indicates an error (or a whoops).

Zip rapidly through the following topics with ease and confidence as you apply the 10 fundamental math tricks:
-Squaring numbers in the 50s
-Squaring numbers ending in 5
-Multiplying 2 numbers ending in 5 that are 10 apart
-Multiplying 2 numbers ending in 5 that are 20 apart
-Multiplying 2 numbers in the 90s
-Squaring numbers in the 40s
-Multiplying 2, 2-digit numbers that end in 1
-Divide any number by 5
-Multiply any number by 9
-Multiply any number by 99

I need some help with the application. When my iTouch is syncing, it stops to say "Math Tricks was not installed on the iPod because it is not compatible with this ipod. iPod is 32G (6.5G free), sw v 2.1, iTunes 8.0.1. Any help appreciated - can't wait to use the software. :-)

Hey Gary, thanks for the feedback. I'm assuming your iPod is the 1st touch Generation. The requirements for this application are 2nd Generation only. I have updated the application so it "should" work for you. Delete the application from your iTunes and go back to the application in the app store. Within a few hours the minimum requirements will be updated to support your iPod touch. Once the information has been updated you can re-purchase the application (You will not be charged twice as long as you re-purchase the app using the same iTunes account) When you re-purchase the application it should now sync to your iPod. Let me know if it works!

Thank you!

Hi Ken :)

First of all, great app.!

Just a slight problem! I can complete the first question, but then the app crashes.

I have the latest iPhone 3GS and the latest OS.

Yours truly

Hi Ken,

I have the same problem as Johnny with the lite version of Math Tricks. I use the iPhone 3GS with OS 3.0.1 and jailbreak.

Hope you can fix this...

Thanks,
Heiko

Haha… It's really an advantage that you have a great math skill. You may really impress your friends, teachers and even your crush, LOL! One of the challenging math problems is exponents. Usually, you may spend lots of time in solving the squared numbers. It would be good that you practice such math tricks to make calculation easier and faster. All you need are patience and discipline.
